The original analysis here is pretty much going to be limited to "The Competition" tab, where my contribution to the Cy Young conversation is to follow the production of one lineup spot - designated "hitter" - through a whole season of Felix starts. We know the Mariners don't score (ex. two runs of fewer in 15 of Felix's 33 starts), but did you know they've started NINE designated "hitters" in those 33 starts? It subtly points out the idiocy of the "doesn't know how to win" argument.
And when the one lineup spot with nothing else to do but provide offense puts up a .200/.298/.391 slash line (BA/OBP/SLG), well, why not Let Felix Hit!
