About

Let Felix Hit was created after the Mariner's 1-0 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays on September 24, 2010.  In the heat of the Cy Young race - an epic battle between C.C. Sabathia of the New York Yankees and King Felix - the team laid another goose egg. Felix allowed just two hits and one run in a complete game effort, only to see his record fall to 12-12.  His league leading ERA, strikeouts, and innings pitched might not be enough to overcome his lack of a gaudy win total.  I joked to a friend that he might have to swing the lumber to actually generate some wins, and this site was born.

About the Author: Alan is a Mariners fan and lifelong baseball fan.  About all you need to know is that with Felix tossing a no-hitter through 6 on a Friday night, Alan and packed his 10 and 7 year old sons in the car and drove 20 miles to see the end of the game.  Thanks to a cooperative security lady, they got to see the last inning of a rare Mariners win, even though Felix had to settle for a 3 hitter.  Alan also writes a weight loss blog, The Pounds Off Playoff, and can be reached at poundsoffplayoff at "gee"mail.com.
